Welcome
to the website of the East Sussex Radio Foxhunt Group.
Radio foxhunting, despite the similarities
in its name, has no involvement with animals (apart from the occasional
fluffy bunny that appears around the foxes when they're hidden!).
Radio foxhunting, sometimes known as radio direction finding or
radio orienteering, involves groups of radio amateurs attempting
to find the location of several manned transmitters within a set
area. Read more about this in the "About
Foxhunting" section of the site - don't worry.. its not
quite as complicated as it seems!
The "About
Us" section of the site explains what we do and how we
carry out the 'hunts'. You can find all the details needed in
here to take part in the next foxhunt, details of which are included
in the "Events and Results"
section of the site, and about our group members in the "Members
and Teams" area. Feel free to browse some of the archives
of photos from previous hunts in the "Photos"
section.
Please come and sign our guestbook,
telling us a little more about who you are, where you come from
and anything else you choose to! You can also subscribe to our
mailing
list, giving details of results, news, forthcoming hunts.
Finally, take a look at our "Links"
area for other relevant web sites, both on foxhunting and from
some of the local radio clubs.
Please feel free to get in touch
if you would like to know more about foxhunting, or you're interested
on possibly coming on a forthcoming hunt and you haven't been
before - we always welcome new members and hope to see you shortly.
73's!
